IвЂ™ve always loved the jackets, so this was exciting for me to see. The awesome thing about them is that they can be worn overВ other armor pieces, excluding chest armor. They cost no perks nor components to craft, so they can be made as soon as you see a chemistry station.

вЂњSeparate CoatsвЂќ by ANDREWCX is a simple mod that adds a bomber jacket (like worn by Brotherhood pilots) and a battle coat (like worn by Maxon) to the crafting options of the chemistry station of all places.

I confess that I do not understand exactly what it does, but it is required, so if you want to utilize these mods, get this one too.

вЂњArmor and Weapon Keywords Community Resource (AWKCR)вЂќ by Valdacil is a mod that is required in order to use several other mods including ANDREWCXвЂ™s UCO mods. Oh, and the mod author also has other mods that give you items from each of the DLCвЂ™s as well. This mod gives you hundreds of new customizable options, so if settlement building is something that youвЂ™re into, you should check this out. To give you several examples, I have in my Brotherhood settlement a vertibird, waving Brotherhood flags, a mausoleum for my dead spouse, the Bunker Hill monument (the tall pointy one), and an intact alien spaceship (decoration only IвЂ™m afraid). These are all objects native to the main game but otherwise impossible to build yourself, such as trees, stones, furniture, tombstones, coffins, cars old and new, buildings and monuments.

вЂњUnlocked Settlement Objects (Base Game)вЂќ by ANDREWCX is currently a work in progress that with every update adds more and more objects to the settlement placement menu. The mod author suggests that you enable this mod, make your desired changes, and then unenable it, as this will ensure that you cannot make this mistake, while also keeping all of your custom changes. I know because I actually dropped mine, and it became impossible to use the Pipboy in the game. Finally, you have to be careful, because it is actually possible to unequip the Pipboy, which breaks the game. Consequently, this mod also requires ANDREWCXвЂ™s UCO mod mentioned above. What this mod actually does is make the Pipboy an item in the inventory, so that it can be improved at the armor workbench. There are options to change both the cuff and the faceplate, and there are a total of 3481 combinations of colors according to the mod author. вЂњUCO Pipboy Color Swap EnablerвЂќ by ANDREWCX allows you to change the color of your Pipboy. This allows you to put a nicer looking clean rug in your room to keep doggers close by instead of that filthy doghouse. вЂњDog RugвЂќ by Derajalen is a simple mod that adds both a dirty and clean version of a rug that Dogmeat and other dogs will use exactly like the doghouse. It also comes with the ability to craft armor and new skins for Dogmeat! Oh, and the ability to craft bullets straight from the workshop, as opposed to having to put components into the factories of the Wasteland Workshop DLC, is pretty neat too. Have fun making awesome and never before seen armor combinations. Otherwise, this mod is amazing and blew me away when I first installed it.

This last bit is my only complaint I love being able to obtain a regular piece of combat armor and then instantly upgrade it to heavy combat armor, but there are no perk requirements or even component costs to do so, which breaks immersion to a certain small degree. You can put different decals on the chest piece of most armor (BOS, Atom Cats, Minutemen, Railroad, etc.), you can change the color of most armor (think black Synth armor), and even allows you to change armor from regular to sturdy to heavy. More than simply giving you access to to previously unobtainable or difficult to obtain gear, this mod allows you to customize your armor in ways that should amaze you. For instance, my current build, Hal the Brotherhood Sentinel, would not be able to wear this battle coat and hat without killing their respective Brotherhood owners were it not for this mod. It includes armor and apparel that would otherwise be impossible to obtain, or would require sacrifices youвЂ™d not be willing to make. The best part is that itвЂ™s all lore-friendly: you can only craft certain things once youвЂ™ve progressed sufficiently through the story and/or once you have the right perks. вЂњUCO: Unified Clothing Overhaul (Base Game) with Ammo Weapon Armor craftingвЂќ by ANDREWCX is an amazing mod that allows you to craft all kinds of armor and weapons, as well as ammunition. IвЂ™ll give the name of the mod, the author, and a brief description of what the mod does.
